World’s largest terrestrial broadcaster adopts AP’s ENPS
India's Doordarshan (Broadcasting Corporation of India) – the world’s largest terrestrial broadcaster – has adopted ENPS, the industry-leading news production system from the Associated Press.
The initial 75 workstations will be located in the broadcaster’s state-of-the-art Delhi studios which were unveiled in August, with the system will going live by the end of the year.
"Technically newsrooms are developing at a galloping speed and we need to ensure that we are ahead of the game, which is why we turned to ENPS," said Mr. N.S. Ganesan, Engineer-in-Chief, who attended IBC to sign the agreement.
Eric Bowman, Director International Business Development, ENPS, said: "We’re thrilled with Doordarshan’s decision, especially given its international reputation."
This is ENPS fourth Indian client, in addition to Sahara TV, Channel 7 JTV and Amrita.
