InterTech Media, LLC. Vortal

www.intertechmedia.com

InterTechMedia (ITM) is pleased to announce that its groundbreaking Vortal CMS—ideal for media-oriented web sites including mobile browsers and apps—is fully enabled for seamless integration of ENPS.

Now it has never been easier or more efficient to create and edit content within an ENPS Rundown and push that content to your entire audience instantly.

An ENPS Rundown directly feeds a corresponding Vortal CMS Feature Group which populates one or more areas of a website, a mobile site or app. Formatting is carried over cleanly, video and images are retained and media is embedded flawlessly. The resulting content is immediately delivered to your digital audience with no extra time or effort required.

The integration between Vortal CMS and ENPS is bi-directional. Content you create in ENPS and publish to desktop web sites, mobile sites and apps will have its pageview statistics sent back to the ENPS Rundown under the “Story Metrics” column. Edits you make in either system will sync seamlessly back and forth. Media assets inside ENPS stories will be encoded by Vortal CMS for all relevant digital platforms and then delivered to your audience automatically.

By pairing your ENPS system with ITM’s Vortal CMS for web, mobile and app content delivery, the benefits are tangible and immediate. This two-way integration creates a highly efficient environment where your production staff effectively controls the content and publishing points of both systems. Which directly leads to an increase in content production and a measurable growth in your audience.

Supported ENPS Workflow

Running Order Control

This device allows ENPS to dynamically build and control a playlist within the media server. Changes to the Running Order in ENPS result in immediate changes to the sequence of media objects queued for playout by the media server.

Item Status

This vendor sends real-time status information during playback and other functions which is displayed through ENPS writers and producers in real-time. This includes the use of a minimum set of standard status messages which enable color coding and the automated movement of the ENPS timing bar.

Buddy Fail-Over

This product supports automatic redundant operation with both Primary and Buddy ENPS servers.

Media Thumbnails and Preview Video

This vendor provides thumbnail images and proxy video which are closely integrated within the ENPS Story display and editing windows.

Story Send

This product uses the full body of text within ENPS documents, including all media pointers and custom metadata. This product also dynamically tracks the sequence of Stories and Assignments within active ENPS Running Orders and Assignment grids.

Media Awareness

This device sends ENPS a description of the media it stores.  The description contains structured metadata and a pointer to the media object. This information is used by ENPS to return media in search results. Pointers are used to link media to ENPS documents, including Stories, Running Orders and Assignments using simple drag and drop workflow.

Open MOS Redirection

This product builds on MOS Redirection and can work with ENPS to exchange media files in a variety of formats, working with a variety of other media server vendors.

Story Write-Back

This vendor provides an interface within their NLE product that not only allows an NLE operator to select and display live stories within ENPS, but also allows the NLE operator to make changes to the ENPS story in the NLE application and have these changes reflected on all ENPS desktops.
