Chyron's CAMIO is a complete news graphics management solution providing unprecedented control over the look and delivery of newsroom graphics. The CAMIO graphic management architecture enables the Art Department to build and upload once for assets to be immediately available to all output devices as well as newsroom clients. LUCI, CAMIO's Newsroom Client ActiveX®, enables journalists to remotely browse templates, edit text and replaceable images and movie files, preview their graphics and insert them into stories directly from within ENPS. CAMIO manages the distribution of assets ensuring that all assets are available for air. Playout is simplified with either the Lyric playlist control or the optional iSQ. The order of graphics for playout is always synchronized with the Newsroom Computer System Running Order as it changes with floats and edits.

Running Order Control

This device allows ENPS to dynamically build and control a playlist within the media server. Changes to the Running Order in ENPS result in immediate changes to the sequence of media objects queued for playout by the media server.

ActiveX Plug-in Functionality: Search & Find/Click & View/Drag & Drop

ENPS users can discover media stored on this device through the use of simple searches within ENPS. When a media description or link is found in ENPS, a user may simply click on the media to view it. The media can be linked to ENPS Running Orders, Stories and Assignments by simply dragging it into and ENPS document.

Media Thumbnails and Preview Video

This vendor provides thumbnail images and proxy video which are closely integrated within the ENPS Story display and editing windows.

Advanced ActiveX

The vendor builds on the basic ActiveX functionality to provide drag and drop of media pointers between the ActiveX control and ENPS documents and the ability to run the plug-in in a detached window.

Media Awareness

This device sends ENPS a description of the media it stores. The description contains structured metadata and a pointer to the media object. This information is used by ENPS to return media in search results. Pointers are used to link media to ENPS documents, including Stories, Running Orders and Assignments using simple drag and drop workflow.
