WinDigi prompting software was designed to interface with ENPS via MOS. This tight integration enables ENPS to control all of the features of the WinDigi prompter automatically, improving the efficiency of prompting in busy newsroom environments. Using MOS, the software can request any Running Order to be prompted. It can automatically accept Running Order and script changes even during live broadcasts. Using the MOS interface, presenters can set preferences such as TrueType font choice, size and style, color, bold, italics, underline and reverse background/foreground.

WinDigi can remotely access any Running Order and start prompting any of its stories. In addition, the ActiveX allows journalists to select different prompters across the network and view the actual output from each prompter.

The WinDigi Prompter output can be controlled by a hand control and both wired and wireless foot controllers.

Supported ENPS Workflow

Running Order Control

This device allows ENPS to dynamically build and control a playlist within the media server. Changes to the Running Order in ENPS result in immediate changes to the sequence of media objects queued for playout by the media server.

Item Status

This vendor sends real-time status information during playback and other functions which is displayed through ENPS writers and producers in real-time. This includes the use of a minimum set of standard status messages which enable color coding and the automated movement of the ENPS timing bar.

Buddy Fail-Over

This product supports automatic redundant operation with both Primary and Buddy ENPS servers.

Story Send

This product uses the full body of text within ENPS documents, including all media pointers and custom metadata. This product also dynamically tracks the sequence of Stories and Assignments within active ENPS Running Orders and Assignment grids.

PortaPrompt ActiveX Plug-in

This vendor provides an ActiveX plug-in for ENPS which allows users to view the prompter output from the ENPS user interface.
