The Orad Maestro plug-in for ENPS is an ActiveX interface to graphics templates created by Orad Maestro. It allows a seamless integration of powerful real-time 3D graphics into the daily news workflow.

A few examples of Orad elements that can be used by a journalist using ENPS include lower thirds, OTSs, full frame graphics, tickers, multi-screen video effects, virtual camera and objects movements for virtual sets.

The ActiveX interface allows users to browse graphic templates, fill in data manually or retrieve it from an external data source, preview the graphic element including animation and updated elements. The graphic can then be inserted into an ENPS Running Order.

Running Orders containing Orad graphic elements can be sent to multiple Maestro stations where they can be reviewed, modified, and played manually or triggered by a news automation system. Maestro allows users to choose the Running Orders that will be used and can send the status of items in a received Running Order back to ENPS. ENPS updates are propagated immediately to Maestro via MOS.

Running Order Control

This device allows ENPS to dynamically build and control a playlist within the media server. Changes to the Running Order in ENPS result in immediate changes to the sequence of media objects queued for playout by the media server.

Item Status

This vendor sends real-time status information during playback and other functions which is displayed through ENPS writers and producers in real-time. This includes the use of a minimum set of standard status messages which enable color coding and the automated movement of the ENPS timing bar.

Channel Assignment

This product enables ENPS users to directly assign media play-out channels from the ENPS Running Order.

Story Send

This product uses the full body of text within ENPS documents, including all media pointers and custom metadata. This product also dynamically tracks the sequence of Stories and Assignments within active ENPS Running Orders and Assignment grids.

Orad ActiveX Plug-in

This vendor provides an ActiveX plug-in for ENPS which allows users to create CGs from the ENPS user interface.
