AP

7 of 10 news production systems installed in the past seven years have been ENPS. Here’s why.

THE BEST SEARCH ENGINE IN ANY NEWSROOM SYSTEM

With the mountains of information that come into a newsroom each day, having a superior search engine is essential. If your journalists can’t find the information they need to write stories quickly and accurately, the editorial system has failed in its most fundamental mission. In other systems, you must navigate through a complex directory to find your content.

A CONSISTENT RECORD OF UPDATES WITH SIGNIFICANT NEW FEATURES

We are constantly increasing the value of ENPS. ENPS 4.5 was the first of two major software updates released in 2004. The list of new features runs many pages, including tightly integrated publishing (for Web, to databases, for mobile devices) and significant machine control enhancements, among many others.

COMPLETE DEDICATION TO MOS

AP doesn’t divide its sales or development efforts between a proprietary machine control system and MOS. MOS is the way we integrate. With everyone. Our MOS integration is the most advanced, and is proven in high volume broadcast-critical environments. At the Time Warner Cable news channels in the US, for instance, ENPS and a vendor’s MOS gateway exchange upwards of 80,000 messages per day. Importantly, our MOS functionality is part of the news server software, with no separate gateway for transmission of MOS messages from the editorial to the production system.

FEATURES AND ENHANCEMENTS

Everything we add to ENPS is done in a way that’s consistent with the “ease of use” philosophy which has made ENPS successful. For example, our Web Publishing builds on familiar rundown functionality. Producers and writers can easily control Web output without being retrained.

A HIGH DEGREE OF CONFIGURATION FLEXIBILITY

Rundowns, planners, scripts, templates… all can have the templates… all can have the fields you need, configured by editorial managers, not quasi- editorial managers or quasi-programmers.

FEATURES, FEATURES, FEATURES
